IT1's Bits - June 2021

In the last few weeks, the Navy has announced some exciting news regarding the technology we use to conduct business. I’ve compiled a list with some brief highlights. Feel free to take a peek!

IT1's Bits - February 2021

As reservists, there are many times where we have to complete work outside of the drill weekends on our personal computers. In fact, right now most of the force is working remotely even during the drill weekends due to the current pandemic. Sometimes it is impossible trying to get certain websites to work on our personal computers.

I offer my assistance with helping you stay productive at home. Here is my first issue of “IT1’s Bits”.

The Reserve Force Turns 1!

Happy 2021 everyone! A year ago today a shipmate and I launched The Reserve Force, our little attempt to give back to our fellow reservists. Let’s recap where we are and where we’re going.

Navy Resources During a Crisis

The Navy has many resources available to assist you and your family during any crisis, including COVID-19. Here are a few!

Check out Our New NOSC Directory

Hey everyone! I wanted to share an upgrade that we made today to what was previously known as the NOSC list page on The Reserve Force. We now have a NOSC (Navy Operational Support Center) Directory page that allows you to view the POC (Point of contact) information for every NOSC in the world together with a dynamic map. You can enter a zip code and see which NOSCs are closest or even use “my location” to find out which NOSC are closest to you right now.

Introducing The Reserve Force

Welcome to a fairly new website on the Internet, TheReserveForce.com. The Reserve Force is aiming to be the best online resource for military reservists. Starting with U.S. Navy reservists, we aim to provide as much information on terminology, points of contact, procedures, forms, and anything else you may need to know when being a reservist.

Why did we create this and what’s next?
